There ain’t nothing wrong with being a little lazy!

Whether you don’t have time to cook an extravagant meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Or, you simply refuse to make the time to do so, there are recipes you can prepare that are low maintenance, delicious, and healthy! Here are a few easy to make meals that every lazy person needs to have stored in their back pocket (or iPhone): 

Pesto Pasta

Who doesn’t love a little pasta? This pesto pasta recipe is easy to make and incredibly flavorful. Pesto is a great, healthy sauce because the fat in pesto is unsaturated. Meaning, in moderation, pesto can decrease inflammation and improve cholesterol. Oh, and did I mention it’s delicious?! Here’s the recipe:


  • ½ chopped onion

  • 2 ½ tablespoons pesto

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 (16 ounces) package pasta

  • Salt to taste

  • Ground black pepper to taste


  1. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water until done. Drain.

  2. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Add pesto, onion, and salt and pepper. Cook about five minutes, or until onions are soft.

  3. In a large bowl, mix pesto mixture into pasta. Stir in grated cheese. Serve.
