4  Dessert Recipes With No Added Sugar That Are Actually Really Good


Sugar is pretty much in everything we eat. This delicious ingredient is tough to avoid, which is why so many people opt for sugar-free foods when they’re on a diet. You can definitely avoid sugar altogether if you really, really want to. But why? Sugar makes everything better. And as long as you’re watching your sugar intake and avoiding as much added sugar as possible, there’s nothing to worry about. If you’re craving a dessert, eat one. Just try to stick with recipes where the amount of sugar in them is minimal — here are a few options:

Peach Strawberry Popsicles

These look absolutely perfect for summer, and they’ll definitely satisfy your sweet tooth without forcing you to worry about the calorie intake. But hurry, summer is almost over — you’ll want to enjoy these before it gets cold outside. Here’s the recipe:


  • 4 ripe peaches, peeled, pitted and chopped

  • 2 tsp Lime juice

  • 1 overripe banana

  • 3 Strawberries, diced


  1. Bring a saucepan of water to a boil. Gently lower the ripe peaches into the boiling water. Leave it there for 30 seconds or until the skin splits. Remove the peaches with a slotted spoon and plunge them into an ice water bath. After 10 seconds or so, remove them and peel.

  2. Roughly chop the peaches and place them in a blender together with lime juice, and banana. Process until smooth.

  3. Pour half portion into the 8 ice molds, add in diced strawberries and top with the remaining. Insert sticks, then freeze at least 4 hours or until firm.
